Aquilegia - original monoprint multimedia lino print miniprint

£15.00

This selection of hand-printed mini pieces pairs bright paper circles (cut from brayer roll-off sheets from gelli printing) with bold, graphic depictions of aquilegia in their various forms - hanging flower in profile, flower from the front, and a bendy, twisty sculptural seedhead forms. The paper circles with their pinks, oranges and teals give an impression of the colourful nature of a cottage garden, in which the aquilegia is often found.

Printed by hand onto cotton rag paper using hand-carved rubber blocks and archival inks. Each element has small differences in tone and texture, which is part of what makes it feel human and lived-in. Choose from white or green paper. These small pieces use the offcuts from my larger square prints to avoid waste. Perfect to frame individually or make a collection!

Approximate size 3.75×3.75”

Soft textured paper with a deckled edge.

Signed on the front.

Will be shipped with a board backing in a cellophane bag in a mailing box so that it arrives in perfect condition.
