A modular, original lino print of the repeating forms of a cluster of ammonite fossils. A layered mix of yellows, greens and blues with a few pinks thrown in for a pop of colour, reflecting the chaotic beauty of a bed of fossils where each animal or plant settled millions of years ago. Each print is made by printing individual blocks with different colour combinations and placement, so each composition is completely unique.
Printed by hand onto cream cotton rag paper using hand-carved rubber blocks and archival inks. Each element has small differences in tone and texture, which is part of what makes it feel human and lived-in.
